“CAMPAMENTO DE ESPAÑOL”
For children ages 2½ to 10
FUN, INTERACTIVE, INTENSELY EFFECTIVE
2024: July 1st – August 24th

‘Spanish Only’
Full- or Half-Day Summer Camp

True to our unique — no translation — method of immersing children in the Spanish language, “Campamento de Español” combines all the benefits of our regular program with all the fun and excitement of summer camp. The more intensive session (up to 8 weeks & up to 5 days per week, half- or full-day) offers campers an environment that allows them to progress more rapidly with their language skills while having a lot of fun.

This program is a wonderful opportunity for your child to spend his or her days in a Spanish speaking environment. Teachers will immerse the children in the Spanish language through a non-intimidating, yet challenging “Spanish only” setting.

El Viaje Fantástico (the fantastic or fantasy trip)

Your child will be immersed in an exciting world where he or she will speak the language while learning about the cultures of different Spanish speaking countries through our “Viaje Fantástico” theme! Your child will be transported to Spanish speaking countries by combining fantasy, culture, stories and other fun activities.

What to Bring & Wear to Spanish Summer Camp

You will receive an email prior to starting with all the details you’ll need to know. However, here is a summary:

  • Children will need to bring a lunch and/or other snacks (no foods containing peanuts) depending on whether they are attending full- or half-day — please clearly mark your child’s name on all items.
  • Outside activities are scheduled every day, weather permitting, so you must apply sunscreen before coming to camp (and send a hat if you’d like).
  • Children should dress comfortably for that day’s weather in play clothes and comfortable shoes (no flip-flops). We do outdoor water play everyday too, so it would be best to have campers arrive each day wearing their bathing suit (or have one on under their clothes) and some type of water shoes (no flip-flops) that are okay to get wet.
  • Everyone will need a towel and dry set of clothes.

SiW provides all the materials for projects.

And, don’t forget to bring a child who is ready to have fun!
